To its credit, Distortion served as a pillar if not vital lifeblood source for the d-beat genre during the 90s releasing pivotal works by \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eWolfpack\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eDisfear\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eAnti Cimex \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003eto name but a few. The band’s name was derived from Abel Ferrara’s 1979 film of the same name that has since become a cult classic. Like much of Driller Killer‘s output, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eBrutalize\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is full of brutal vocals, memorable Discharge style songwriting, a ripping guitarist slinging a Gibson Les Paul, and fist-pumping d-beat to the max!
